Daring Adventures and Star-Spangled Vistas

We celebrated the Independence of The United States of America with Bryan's family.  We decided to explore Discovery Park...and explore we did ;)

After visiting the North Beach, we walked along the shore to the South Beach.  Unfortunately, the tide was coming in.  Instead of turning around and finding another path, we decided to traverse over these rocks...bright idea that was :)

Thankfully we all survived the 'rocky road' and created some good memories. The rewarding view from South Beach surprised us!

We then attended a well-hosted party at my Relief Society President's apartment. She and her husband live on the 9th floor and have a spectacular view from their balcony of Mt. Rainer, Seattle (ALL of Seattle), Lake Union, Magnolia, and the Olympic Mountains.

In Seattle the Fourth of July Fireworks show is performed from a barge on Lake Union, thus we had a marvelous, unobstructed view of the spectacle. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera.
